The Sugarinks edible cleaning cartridges can be used multiple times without having to worry about emptying. They can be used for 20-30 times before the cartridges are empty. 

Just like Sugarinks edible ink cartridges, the cleaning cartridges are 100% edible and don’t have any toxic material. They are filled with specialized food grade cleaning solution and are FDA approved, Kosher, gluten, allergen, and nut free. 

These edible ink cartridges are compatible with Epson Expression XP Series, Stylus C and DX Series, Stylus CX Series, Stylus NX series, Stylus Photo Series, and WorkForce Series edible ink compatible printers. 

Follow these instructions to use the cleaning cartridges:

• Replace the edible ink cartridges with the cleaning cartridges.
• Run internal printer feature “cleaning and deep cleaning”.
• Go to Printer Properties > Maintenance > Cleaning. 

For best results, run the cleaning procedure twice and print a few pages without removing the cleaning cartridges. This will ensure that the printhead remains clean and the nozzle unblocked, enabling smooth flow of the colors for the edible printing. Once done, replace the cleaning cartridges with the edible ink cartridges and start printing edible images. 

Why do printheads clog?

• Non-use of the printer for a long time.
• Leaving your printer idle with installed ink cartridges.

Symptoms of clogged printheads:

• Vertical or horizontal lines on every sheet you print.
• Missing colors or colors are not true.
• Printing blank sheets

Things to take care of while using Sugarinks cleaning cartridges:

• The cleaning cartridges should strictly be used with the printers. Though they are made of edible cleaning solution, it is advised not to consume them directly. 
• Always look for ‘Food Grade’ cleaning cartridges as they are FDA approved. All Sugarinks products, including the cleaning cartridges are made from 100% food grade material and are absolutely safe to consume.
